We are doing this ride only partly for the good of our health.  We are also doing it to raise money for a charity which is dear to both of us.  A close friend of ours very nearly died from Meningitis while we were at school together and ever since then all of the charity events that we have done together have raised money for the Meningitis Research Foundation.  They are an excellent charity, doing vital work in the fight against a disease which affects the lives of far too many people.

This blog aims to be fun and amusing, but at its heart is a very serious aim.  We want to raise as much money as possible to help in the fight against Meningitis.
